Crosswalk Obedience
Tokyo, Japan – At a busy Shibuya crossing, a woman halted mid-walk, extended her foot, and her partner quickly bent to straighten her shoe before the lights changed. “The crowd waited, and no one dared rush her,” said a student.
As the sun set over Darling Harbour, a woman rested on a bench while her companion knelt, unlaced her shoes, and massaged her feet in plain view of passersby. “She looked like a queen after a long day’s parade,” said a photographer.
