Rome, Italy – Tourists gathered in surprise at Piazza Navona when a woman in a red dress stood atop the fountain’s ledge while her partner steadied her hand, bowing slightly as if a knight to his queen. “It was like medieval loyalty in modern times,” said a passerby.

In Tiergarten Park, a woman instructed her companion to remove his coat and lay it on a bench before she sat. He remained standing beside her, hands folded. “She radiated command,” remarked a jogger.
